How far in advance should I book my session?
It is best to book your session a few months in advance. Weekends fill up quickly and I am also available during the week. Please contact me for availability.
Where are you located?
I am primarily an on-location photographer based in Lancaster County, PA. I prefer to shoot using natural light. This means that I typically photograph at outdoor locations. Local parks or historical sites are generally good spots – please contact me for a list of possible shoot locations. I also have an in home studio which is used for newborn and studio sessions.
What if it rains on the day of my session?
I will monitor the weather forecast prior to your session. If there is a strong chance of heavy rain on the day of your session, I may ask to reschedule. We can still have a great session with overcast clouds and light drizzle, but this is always at the discretion of the photographer.
What should I wear to my photo session?
Wear something that you are comfortable in and makes you feel good! Bright, solid colors are always a good choice. You may wish to bring several outfits. Casual looks are often best; make sure that they compliment the outfits of the other people in your photo session.
What not to wear: clothing that is too tight or too baggy, clothing with large words or logos on them, patterns that may be distracting.
What can I expect during my photo session?
I will meet you at the location of your choice and we will get to know each other briefly. We will walk around to find different locations, stopping for breaks or outfit changes as needed. I like to be very relaxed and informal during our session to make it a pleasant experience for everyone!
Studio sessions are conducted in my home. I have many different backdrops and props available to use. We can discuss ideas at the time of booking. Newborn sessions demand a lot of patience for everyone involved. I let the babies set the pace and am very flexible dealing with a newborn's needs.
How do I pay for my photo session?
A $50.00 deposit is due at the time that you book your session. The balance is due on the day of the session. I accept PayPal, personal checks and cash. If you choose to use PayPal to pay your balance, payment will be due 24 hours prior to your session.
What happens after my photo session?
After your session I upload and organize your photos and select the best images. These images will be artistically edited to create beautiful keepsake photographs. You will receive an array of both black and white and color photographs. Your photos will be posted in an online viewing gallery 3 to 4 weeks following your session. At that time, a CD of your high resolution, edited digital images will be mailed to you along with a release to print your images whenever and wherever you would like. A low resolution, watermarked version of each image suitable for online usage will accompany the high resolution images.
